Vote Spock for President

First pass at an entry for the TrekBBS May Fan Art Challenge - a very rare early entry from me!

Most of this design is intentional; the inversion, however, was another of my serendipitous moments while playing with blending modes - in this case, with a parchment layer I was planning to use to make the poster look aged. I like it specifically because it is so unlike my usual artistic path - and that's what a challenge is all about, right?

The sharp-eyed will recognize that this is, in fact, Mirror Spock - the ironic thing is that I spend the majority of time 'shopping his head onto an image of 'normal' Spock in formal drag - the idea being that it's really just 'normal' Spock after retiring from Starfleet in order to pursue politics. In this context, however, I couldn't resist utilizing several cues that are more in keeping with Mirror Spock, trying to make them a bit subliminal.
