I think this is probably much before Picard's time, but someone seems to have gotten his message, nonetheless; the bridge is nothing but lines!

With all the experiments lately of rendering Star Trek models with 'toon outlines' in Poser Pro 2014, how could I not do it with the bridge, too (in this case, the "Cage 2.0" version)? :iconsailmaster-seion: would surely agree ;). And, yes, it works quite well! This is pretty much 'out of the box'; PP2014 does leave some artifacts - little black dots over some areas of flat color - but they were very few and easily cleaned up. I could easily see this onscreen as the background for the Filmation-style animation. Credit goes to Kail Tescar for the inspiration, and I hope his recent experiments with Poser to augment his StarTrekAnimated.com turn out to his satisfaction - it's clear that, for this sort of work, the tool works pretty well. ;)

The little black dots you mention can be cleaned up 'en masse' and automatically. On a larger 4000px render, simply apply Photoshop's "Dust and Scratches" removal filter at a setting of about 3, then adjust Brightness and Contrast (or duplicate the layer) to bring the toon outlines back toward being dark again.

Also, if you see large patches of heavy speckling on a Toon Outlines render, despite having removed materials, the problem is likely that Poser is trying to render lingering bump maps as Toon Outlines.  Bump maps can be disconnected one by one in the Materials room, or 'en masse' by a utility script such as Dimension 3D's 'XS - Shader Manager' (within that, choose 'Toon', with 'Reset Bump' ticked).
